WRL is still offering touch-less curbside hold pickup on an appointment-only basis if you do not want to go in the library. Once you’re notified that your items are ready, choose a time and location at which to pick them up. It’s super easy! For more information on using this system go here.
Need some help finding something to read or watch for yourself or a family member? Do you want the library to select some titles? They’d love to! To get to know you and what you are interested in, just answer a few questions by filling out the form this at wrl.org/quick-picks/ or call 741-3300 – press 2 for adults/teens material, or press 4 for children’s material!
StoryWalk – ALL Month during Library hours – Take a walk out of doors and read a story at the James City County Library’s new StoryWalk™ . Families are invited to walk from page to page in the green space behind the library. This week read, Is Everyone Ready for Fun?

Williamsburg Regional Library and William & Mary are once again partnering to bring you One Book One Community, an initiative that encourages people of all stripes to come together and have a shared reading experience. This year’s book selection is Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Ibram X. Kendi and Jason Reynolds. This #1 New York Times bestseller is an eye-opening and accessible exploration of race and racism in the United States. Because of staffing limitations and the need for enhanced sanitation measures due to the pandemic, the library is reopening with reduced hours. Current schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Library facilities will be closed on Sunday.
