WRL is still offering touch-less curbside hold pickup on an appointment-only basis if you do not want to go in the library. Once you’re notified that your items are ready, choose a time and location at which to pick them up. It’s super easy! For more information on using this system go here.
4/16 — All-Ages StorytimeAll Ages Storytime features stories, rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and other activities for children and their caregivers. These programs will take place outside with social distancing guidelines in place for a fun, safe, in-person storytime. This program is weather-dependent 4/16: 11 a.m. at Williamsburg Library 4/16
Curbside Crafts – Sponsored by the Friends of WRL Twice a month we’ll offer a fun new family craft — one for both younger AND older kids — at curbside pickup. If you don’t catch us Friday, come by Saturday; we’ll have the same craft available again. All Day While Supplies Last, Both Libraries 4/16
Paws to Read with K-9 ConnectionReading is even more fun when you can share it with a fluffy, four-legged friend, and it’s a great way for beginning readers to practice with a patient audience. Sign up for a 10-minute session with a trained therapy dog!2:30 p.m.
StoryWalk – ALL Month during Library hours – Take a walk out of doors and read a story at the James City County Library’s new StoryWalk™ . Families are invited to walk from page to page in the green space behind the library. This week read, Is Everyone Ready for Fun?

4/1-4/20 — Bad Poetry MonthLet’s honor National Poetry Month with tongue firmly in cheek. Can you beat all-time champion Anonymous in turning out the worst verse? All submissions will be entered in a prize drawing, and one truly awful poem will receive the Queasy Judges prize. All Day

Because of staffing limitations and the need for enhanced sanitation measures due to the pandemic, the library is reopening with reduced hours. Current schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Library facilities will be closed on Sunday.
