Election Voting York County to be updated closer to Nov elections

Voter Registration
The Constitution of Virginia requires that voters be registered in the precinct in which they live in order to be qualified to vote.

Qualified residents who will be at least 18 years of age on or before November 3, 2026, may register and vote. Voters who are members of the uniformed services or who are overseas may visit the Department of Elections website for information on how to ensure they are able to vote in this election.

 There are three ways you can register or update your voter registration information:

1.  Online, through the Department of Elections Citizen Portal. 
2. You can print an application off, complete it, sign it and submit it by mail or bring it to either Registrar’s Office location during office hours.
3. You may come to one of the Registrar’s Office locations and complete a paper application:
   • Washington Square, 5322 Geo. Wash. Mem. Hwy, Yorktown — Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
   • Victory Village, 6614 Mooretown Rd., Ste. A, Williamsburg — Tuesday, 8:30-5:00 (on and after March 6, the hours of operation will be Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM)

Your Voter Registration Information
You are able to look up your voter registration information online. Once you provide the requested information, you will be told which districts you live in, where your polling place is, and your voting history. Your voting history only includes whether you voted in an election, not for whom you voted.

Applications for registration and by-mail absentee ballots, as well as sample ballots, are available at the above registration sites, on this website, and by calling the Registrar’s Office at 890-3440 (hearing impaired: TTD 890-3300). 

The law permits emergency absentee voting in a few, very limited situations until 2 PM on Monday, April 20. For more information on emergency absentee voting, call the Registrar’s Office at 890-3440.
