Tour: Nassau Street, Past, Present, and Future

📅Tuesdays and Thursdays, March – May (excl. Apr 14 & 16)
🕞10 AM – 11 AM, 2 PM – 3 PM
📍Taliaferro-Cole Stable

Did you know big changes are coming to Nassau Street? From the original permanent location of the First Baptist Church to the beautiful gardens of Custis Square, archaeology is where it all begins.

Guests are invited to join a walking tour of Nassau Street to discover how archaeology has helped shape the reconstructed landscape seen today. Along the way, the team shares how ongoing work at the African Baptist Meeting House and Burial Ground, Williamsburg Bray School, and Custis Square archaeology sites continues to uncover important stories—and offers a sneak peek at what the future holds for this significant historic corridor.

Tour groups meet on Nassau Street, outside the Taliaferro-Cole Stable.
Please note: A portion of this tour enters archaeological sites with uneven terrain that may be difficult for wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. Tours are weather-dependent. Colonial Williamsburg admission required.
