Annual Oyster Roast & Maritime Heritage Festival at the Watermen’s Museum
Oct 17 & 18, 2020
10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and from 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday
Rescheduled from September and also modified – the Annual Oyster Roast of the Watermen’s Museum is on and is now in conjunction with the Maritime Heritage Festival!
Instead of an all-you-can-eat roast and buffet, they will be adapting to different ways of serving the world’s best oysters provided by Watermen of the Chesapeake Bay.
And, as always, they will offer other seafood delights and non-seafood items for those that prefer to forage from the land.
Culinary pros Chef K Cooking and VA Blue Crab will be on site. The oysters will be sourced from Julie Ann Seafood in Gloucester. And they are also working with other vendors, musicians, and a dance troupe.
This Oyster Roast will run concurrently with the museum’s annual Maritime Heritage Festival which runs from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and from 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday. We will have scattered eating and seating areas throughout our property so we can provide a safe, socially distanced environment for all of our visitors.
