One Street Over

One Street Over is a five-member Celtic roots band from Winchester, Virginia, known for their lively blend of traditional and original tunes and ballads. Their music features a rich mix of vocals, Irish flute, fiddle, cello, bouzouki, mandolin, guitar, mandocello, and bodhrán. The band’s name was inspired by a chance remark in a Virginia pub after they discovered they all lived just “one street over” from each other.
After the pandemic paused pub performances, One Street Over turned to recording, releasing two albums, Beyond the Gate and Ridge and Valley, and performing on larger stages including the Appaloosa Festival, Dills Celtic Festival, Ravenwood Faire, Colonial Williamsburg’s Hennage Auditorium, and the Barns of Rose Hill. With diverse musical backgrounds ranging from classical to bluegrass to punk rock, the band delivers captivating, toe-tapping tunes. The Armstrong Irish Dance Academy in Winchester complements this Celtic spirit, offering recreational and competitive dance classes for ages 3 through adult, emphasizing personal growth, community, and a love of the art form.This event is open to the public, but tickets are required.
