At Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series, warm sunsets, live music, and laid-back waterfront vibes set the tone for a perfect evening.

Uncle Jesse brings everyone on a fun, nostalgic ride through the biggest hits of the 1990s and 2000s! With a setlist that spans every genre, their shows are packed with sing-along favorites and throwback anthems that instantly take guests back in time. From pop and punk to rock and dance hits, Uncle Jesse knows how to get the crowd smiling, singing, and dancing all night long. Touring throughout D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and up and down the East Coast, they turn every show into a high-energy, feel-good celebration of the songs that defined a generation. Grab some friends, warm up those vocal cords, and get ready for a night of pure throwback fun!

Every Thursday night, the York River comes alive with a new sound—from country and beach music to jazz, R&B, and more. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, slip off your shoes, and enjoy the breeze while food trucks serve up tasty bites and summer rhythms fill the air.

Arrive early to enjoy dinner or dessert from nearby waterfront favorites like Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, or Ben & Jerry’s, then relax and settle in for a night of great music, good company, and memories made under the stars.

Guests are welcome to bring blankets, chairs, and small coolers. Tables, umbrellas, and tents are not permitted. A dance floor, friendly corn hole games, and rotating food trucks with to-go meals will be available.

Free parking is offered at designated public lots throughout town, including York Hall, York–Poquoson Courthouse, and the County Administration Building. The complimentary, ADA-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 5 to 9:30 p.m. during each concert, with a modified route that includes select stops on the outskirts of town.
