Yorktown Art Stroll

Riverwalk Landing
September 28
10 am – 5 pm

This fall, Historic Yorktown invites art lovers, families, and curious visitors alike to experience the magic of creativity at the 14th Annual Art Stroll from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 28.

For one day only, Riverwalk Landing will be filled with color, texture, and imagination as more than 50 talented regional artists line the waterfront and set up inside the Yorktown Freight Shed. Guests can explore an impressive selection of works for sale, including paintings in oil, acrylic, and watercolor; handcrafted pottery; fine jewelry; photography; mosaics; sculpture; mixed media pieces; and even painted furniture.

This isn’t just a show—it’s an experience. Visitors will have the chance to chat with artists about their creative process and take part in a much-loved tradition: contributing to a collaborative community canvas, where everyone can leave their mark.

The day will also be filled with music and family fun. Audio Portrait, an acoustic harmony trio, will perform live on the Riverwalk Landing Stage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, kids can get hands-on with free make-and-take crafts while supplies last.

10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Children’s Make & Take Crafts (while supplies last)
  • Community Art Project

11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

  • Live Music from Audio Portrait

Extend your curiosity beyond the waterfront by heading to Historic Main Street, where the Gallery at York Hall will feature additional artistic treasures from local creators, including quilts, stained glass, pottery, and paintings.

When hunger strikes, Yorktown’s restaurants are ready to welcome you with flavors to match the day’s creativity. Options include Water Street Grille, Coastal Thirst Beach Deli, Riverwalk Restaurant, Umi Sushi, Yorktown Pub, Mobjack Coffee Roasters and Petite Café, Carrot Tree Kitchens, Little York Confectionery, and Ben & Jerry’s.

As always, admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine. Parking is available at multiple locations throughout town, including the Riverwalk Landing Parking Terrace, York Hall, the Courthouse Complex, and the County Administration Building. For added convenience, the free Yorktown Trolley will shuttle guests from designated parking areas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Join us for a day where the York River meets creativity—and leaves you inspired.

This event is free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine.

Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing Parking Terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots in town. The Yorktown Trolley will start its run early that morning to provide complimentary service from 10 am to 5 pm.
