Hands-On Holiday Workshops at Colonial Williamsburg
Want to try something new? How about some hands-on workshops at Colonial Williamsburg? Here are some upcoming holiday workshop that will have you taking home a new addition to your holiday decor! These do not require a Colonial Williamsburg Pass but do require a separate ticket for the event. Horticulture Workshop: Small Centerpiece
Dec 11, 13 & 17 at 12:30 pm & 3 pm
In this rare opportunity, learn tips from Colonial Williamsburg’s landscape design team, who make the holiday decorations adorn the Historic Area. Supplied with a holiday mug, each participant can create an arrangement in the “Williamsburg Style.” These table-top arrangements make a big impact on end tables or as a hostess gift. All materials and tools provided. Limit of 10 participants. This class is not recommended for young children; a ticketed adult must accompany a participating older child. Only guests with tickets may enter the facility due to space limitations.

Horticulture Workshop: Fresh Fruit Decorations
December 2 & 9 from 1 – 2 pm
Learn how to make an apple candle and an orange pomander to use as a decorative accent or fragrant gift. Colonial Williamsburg’s landscape designers will demonstrate how to make the decorations and guide participants as they make their own. Supplied with all the materials to make their own apple candle and orange pomander, each participant can take them home and enjoy. Limit of 10 participants. This workshop is family-friendly but not recommended for toddlers. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Only guests with tickets may enter the facility due to space limitations.

Horticulture Workshop: Candle Centerpiece

Learn from Colonial Williamsburg’s landscape designers how to make a centerpiece with a candle holder using the materials and techniques they use to make the holiday decorations that adorn the Historic Area. Supplied with a candle, a candle holder, and all the materials and tools needed, participants can create a candle centerpiece to enjoy at home. Limit of 10 participants. This class is not recommended for young children; a ticketed adult must accompany a participating older child. Only guests with tickets may enter the facility due to space limitations. Horticulture Workshop: Wreath Decorating

Learn how to decorate a fresh green wreath in the “Williamsburg Style” by Colonial Williamsburg’s landscape design team in the studio where all the magic happens. Beginning with a demonstration, participants will learn the tricks of the trade our designers use to create the decorations that adorn the Historic Area during the holidays. Supplied with a balsam wreath and all the materials and tools needed, each participant can decorate their wreath to take home and enjoy. No experience is required. Limit of 10 participants. The minimum age is 18. Only guests with tickets may enter the facility due to space limitations.
