This is one of our favorite programs JCC Parks & Recreation does for local kids. If you have ever signed your child up and received a call from Santa, then you know what we are talking about. For the first few years that we did it in our house, the kids were so little, and so excited, they couldn’t talk, they just listened with a huge smile. Then as they got a little older, they would ask if, and when Santa would call. And they would talk to him. It is just the sweetest program. If you want a little extra Christmas spirit in the house this December – we cannot recommend this program more. And it is free! Here is how it works…
James City County Parks & Recreation is offering families a fun and free night of Santa Calling on Tuesday, Dec. 6! They are your connection for “Phone Calls from Santa” for children ages 9 and younger living in James City County and Williamsburg. Special arrangements have been made with the North Pole for Santa and/or Mrs. Claus to personally call each child who returns their completed registration form by Tuesday, Nov. 29. The Claus’s will attempt to call children on Dec. 6 between 5:45-8 p.m.; however, specific call times cannot be guaranteed due to the couple’s holiday schedule.
You can register online or pick up the form at the James City County Recreation Center, the Abram Frink Jr. Community Center, the Chickahominy Riverfront Park Office or the Satellite Services Office in Toano during operating hours.
