Fall Brings New WAG Art Sale to Bruton Parish House

Nature isn’t the only provider of beauty in the fall. The Williamsburg Artists Group brings color, style and unique works of art to Bruton Parish House in Colonial Williamsburg every October.
Come and shop original paintings, jewelry, and notecards and a plethora of other fine arts and crafts at Bruton Parish House in Colonial Williamsburg. The Williamsburg Artists Group returns for its popular fall sale. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists behind the art and learn the stories of the paintings and works that you are buying!
This year’s popular event will be held on Friday, October 23, from 4-7 p.m., and Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at the opening reception on Friday. The original works of about 20 artists will be featured, including paintings, mixed media, photography, cards, and more. All artwork is for sale.
“WAG’s goal is to give local artists an independent venue in which to share and sell their artwork, and people in the community a way to buy affordable art directly from the artists at an easily accessible location,” said member Bill White. “WAG has become known in the area for diverse, high-quality artwork. Each year the event gets even better as our membership grows and the varied offerings expand.”
WAG artwork has also been exhibited at the Stryker Center, Williamsburg Players theater, Busch Gardens, the Williamsburg Winery, Sentara, and other local businesses.
This year the artists will be donating 10% of their sales to IRON: Immigrant Rights Organizing Network.
“Our visitors enjoy talking to the artists and the artists love telling stories about their artwork. It’s a win-win event!” she added.
WAG was established in 2018 as a way for local artists to show their work outside a traditional gallery. Sales at Bruton Parish are usually held at least twice a year. WAG has also exhibited at the Stryker Gallery, part of the Williamsburg Regional Library system, and the Williamsburg Winery, and has had sales several times for the past two years at Busch Gardens. This year the artists will be donating 10% of their sales to FISH as a community service. The Williamsburg Artists Group is an independent organization not associated with a traditional gallery.
