Bobby BlackHat, Virginia’s Blues Ambassador, award-winning recording artist, harmonica player, vocalist, songwriter, comedian, actor, and producer, has been playing harmonica for over 50 years. Bobby BlackHat blends the influences of Chicago, Memphis, Piedmont, and Delta-style blues along with a little Gospel into a Toe Tappin’, Finger Poppin’, Hip Shakin’ Blues experience. Joining Bobby will be Joy Walters (vocals),  Lucy Kilpatrick (keys), Brian Eubanks (bass), Mike Behlmar (drums), and Danny Lubertazzi (guitar).

The night’s musical lineup includes:

Ruth Wyand, finalist in the solo/duo category of the 2017 International Blues Challenge. Ruth has toured extensively throughout the United States, Britain, New Zealand, Kuwait, and France as a solo guitarist and singer and has won numerous awards for guitar and songwriting, including the Gamble Rogers Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, the South Florida Folk Festival Songwriting Competition, and the Hank Williams Songwriting Award.

In Layman Terms is a nationally acclaimed act that has performed all over the United States as a sibling duo and a full band. Their unique and diverse sound ranges from gritty, foot-stomping acoustic work to that of an electrified big band with Americana undertones, funk, and a hint of modern flair. Their compelling, content-filled original music has had airplay worldwide, has ranked nationally on the charts, and has had rave reviews by reputable musicians and reviewers.

The Adrian Duke Projek featuring Theresa Richmond. Adrian Duke grew up in Richmond, VA, and now calls Charlottesville, VA home. He grew up as a multi-instrumentalist, but soon after studying jazz piano at VCU in Richmond, discovered the New Orleans musical tradition of Professor Longhair, James Booker & Dr. John, that Duke would make the foundation of his sound as a piano player. Adrian Duke and Theresa Richmond met in 1999 in Durham, NC, not far from the rural parts of the state where Richmond grew up singing in the church. With a lifelong virtuosity in gospel music, Richmond began touring the globe in the 80s with the Angelic Gospel Singers, an all-female musical group led by the late gospel icon Margaret Wells Allison. The similarities between Adrian’s New Orleans blues and Theresa’s Southern gospel roots made the duo a natural fit. Duke’s raw, unprocessed vocals are perfectly balanced against Richmond’s sassy grace.

Rob White is a Guitarist Singer-Songwriter out of Chesapeake, VA.
Rob is best known for playing and singing a wide variety of different musical styles but his love for playing the Blues is like no other.
He discovered a deep love for the blues after realizing how similar his Gospel Quartet Roots relates to the genre. His music is a mix of Blues-Soul-Funk with some Rock and Jazz Elements that will make you move and groove. Rob has traveled all over the country and overseas playing guitar with bands and some well-known artists.
In 2017 after touring overseas with a Danish Pop artist by the name of Burhang, Rob decided to start a solo career as an acoustic solo artist and forming his own band The Rw Experience.
When you hear him, whether it’s solo or with the band they will give you an Experience that you will never forget!

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. performance. Get Your Tickets
