Jul. 21: Cabrini (2024) PG-13

The true-life story of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, an Italian emigrant who came to the U.S. in 1889 and founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart to help the impoverished. She became the first U.S. citizen to be canonized and is revered as the patron saint of immigrants. In 19th Century Poland, a beautiful young girl is determined to live and love as she pleases which brings her into dangerous conflict with her fellow villagers. Based on a Nobel prize-winning novel, and shot in the same rotoscoped animation style as the film Loving Vincent, this Academy Award nominated movie was directed by DK Welchman and stars Kamila Urzedowska. In Polish with English sub-titles. 1hr, 54min. starts at 6 pm
