This historical building tour is designed to highlight the architecture of the time, designs, furnishings, special touches, ornate decor, and stories within the walls of the Jones-Stewart Mansion. The Jones-Stewart Mansion is a stunning example of an antebellum plantation house. The home offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of two historic families that lived here at Chippokes. 

Please meet on the back porch of the Jones-Stewart Mansion (facing Mansion Gardens). The last tour will begin at 3:00 p.m. 

Please note: This is a historical building, and we hope to continue to share it for many more years, children should be close-by and with their adult counterparts at all times, please be mindful and respectful, and stay with your interpretive tour guide.

Whilst in the historic area, take a peek inside the windows or screen-doors of the Brick Kitchen, stop by the FOC Gift Shop (home to a restored Packard Clipper) Friday-Sunday (April-October) from 12:30-3:30 p.m., peek inside the windows of the Carriage House, stroll through the Mansion Gardens to the final resting place of Mr. & Mrs. Stewart, or walk along historic Quarter Lane.
