William “Billy” Flora (c. 1755–1820) was a free Black Patriot from Virginia. His bravery at the 1775 Battle of Great Bridge is portrayed in the award-winning film “Liberty Fever” at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.

This fun, 30-minute interactive program will take you on a journey through various expressive forms of African dance, highlighting how rhythm connects us all. Claves Unidos brings independent artists together to create community-affirming dance experiences that celebrate both our unique differences and our shared roots. No matter where you are from, you’ll discover the deep historical, political, and social connections of dance in this globally-inspired program! 🎶❤️
