Raleigh Concert: Revolutionary Musick

Music was an essential part of life in colonial Williamsburg. Music printed in the Virginia Gazette provides an important window into the domestic musical life of Williamsburg’s elite families. The political songs printed in the newspapers also reflect the growing discontent with England, leading to our eventual declaration of independence.
Join the Governor’s Musick as they present music from the Virginia Gazette during Revolutionary times. An event ticket is required.
