“PIPPIN” PERFORMED AT WILLIMIAMSBURG LIBRARY THEATRE, MAY 2 AND 3, 7:30 P.M., AND MAY 4, 2:30 P.M.

Enjoy the magic, merriment, and all-around wonder of “Pippin.” This unique musical is coming to the Williamsburg Library Theatre for two evening performances Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee Sunday, May 4 at 2:30 p.m.  No advance tickets will be sold; admission is by donation.  All proceeds will benefit the Williamsburg Regional Library. “Pippin” with an enchanting score by award-winning Stephen Schwartz, composer of “Wicked,” and a hilariously witty book by Roger O. Hirson, “Pippin” is sure to bring a smile to your face.  Come and join the young prince, Pippin on his search for meaning and significance.

Directing this production is Ryan Davy, whose previous productions include “The Fantasticks” (2013) and “The Sunshine Boys” (2013), a local college student who founded the Library Players.  The production features a cast and crew of local amateur and professional talent as well as a full live orchestra providing the music.
