A wide array of artists will add a touch of creative flair to the Historic Yorktown waterfront on Sunday, May 5, when the Art at the River returns for its 11th annual event. This juried art show at the waterfront features the work of more than 35 local artists. Guests can stroll down the Riverwalk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to marvel at the incredible one-of-a-kind work on display and for sale—paintings, pottery, jewelry, glass arts, photography, woodwork, metalwork, and much more!

These chosen creators are traveling to Yorktown from Richmond and the greater Tidewater area to participate in this popular community event. Each artist draws their inspiration from a variety of sources, which are as intriguing as their artwork. Painters, photographers, potters, jewelers, and other creatives will display their work along Riverwalk Landing in hopes of taking home the People’s Choice Award.

10 a.m. – The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office Bagpipers perform.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Audio Portrait is performing on the Riverwalk Landing Stage.

Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots. The free, ADA-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with several stops throughout town. The event will be held rain or shine.
