Virtual Academy students can switch to in person learning for 2nd semester

WJCC Schools Virtual Academy Update

The WJCC Schools Virtual Academy provides year-long, 100% online learning for students who chose to “opt-in” to the program last July. We recognize, however, that not all students thrive with this type of learning. Therefore, Virtual Academy students who are struggling academically or who are experiencing social-emotional stressors have the opportunity to transition out of the program for the second semester.

Parents/guardians of students currently enrolled in the Virtual Academy must sign complete an enrollment change acknowledgment. Please note that leaving the Virtual Academy will result in a teacher change and may also require adjustments to the student’s course schedule.

If a student leaves the Virtual Academy, they may not return to the program during the 2020-2021 school year. An email will be sent to families of Virtual Academy students this week with instructions for completing the acknowledgement.
