SPRING YOUTH BIKE SERIES  – Weekend On Your Wheels Youth Bike Race Series

Weekend On Your Wheels:  Registration Open

Who’s ready for a bicycle race?  Come for a fast-paced, exciting series of mountain bike races at New Quarter Park (1000 Lakeshead Drive). Seven different types of races that match anyone’s skill level are offered and open to youth between the ages of 3 and 17.

Registration for each of the events is required.  All registered participants start checking in at noon, with the first race beginning at 1 p.m.  Kids may compete in all three races or at least one on March 26, April 2, and April 16.

SKILL LEVEL

Join us for our Weekend On Your Wheels Youth Bike Race Series. The races will be held at New Quarter Park on select Sundays through March and April. The youth mountain bike trail has three courses. The short course is designed for kids 6 and under who ride push and balance bikes and for elementary/novice (no training wheels) riders. The medium course is designed for elementary/intermediate riders, usually in middle school or ages 11 to 14. The long course is designed for high school riders ages 14 to 17. Parents must be present, and helmets are required.

Children will be separated by skill level. If this is your child’s first race, we recommend coming at least one hour early so they can ride the course and be placed in the appropriate skill category.

The fee also includes a number plate.
