WRL Youth Art Show for Middle and High School Students

Williamsburg Regional Library invites middle school and high school students in James City County, York County, and the City of Williamsburg to participate in the WRL Youth Art Show taking place in March.

Submit your art

Students in grades 6 – 12 may submit artwork in any 2D medium (painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, etc.). Artwork must be hangable and ready for display in the WRL Youth Art Show taking place March 6 – 31, 2026. Artwork can be dropped off along with the entry form at the Program Services desk at the Williamsburg Library at 515 Scotland Street from February 15-28.

Join WRL in celebrating youth art and creativity in our community by submitting one work of art of any size. Any media type is eligible, but the artwork must be easily mounted to a wall. Only one submission per student. Cash prizes will be awarded for: first place, second place and third place for middle school entry as well as first place, second place and third place for high school entry.

EXHIBIT & AWARDS

Approved entries will be displayed publicly at the exhibit space in the Stryker Center in Williamsburg from March 6 – 31, 2026. The exhibit will be open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. All participants and their family members are invited to a special artist reception at Stryker Center from 6 to 7:30 pm on Friday, March 6. Prizes will be awarded at the reception (no RSVP required), and any winners who are not present at the reception will be contacted on the following business day.
