Morning Sessions
Session 1: 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM
- Preschoolers (3-4 Years): 45-minute class (without adult partner).
- 9:30 – 10:15 am | Fees: $85 tuition & materials
- Babies (4-17 Months): 30-minute class (with adult partner).
- 9:45 – 10:15 am | Fees: $63 tuition / $17 Inst. Bag
Session 2: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM
- Toddlers (18-35 Months): 45-minute class (with adult partner).
- 10:30 – 11:15 am | Fees: $85 tuition & materials
- Youngsters (5-6 Years): 60-minute class (without adult partner).
- 10:30 – 11:30 am | Fees: $100 tuition & materials
Late Afternoon Sessions
Session 3: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Preschoolers (3-4 Years): 45-minute class (with adult partner).
- 4:30 – 5:15 pm | Fees: $85 tuition & materials
- Introduction to Keyboard (6-8 Years): 60-minute class (without adult partner).

Early Childhood Music School (ECMS) Registration for 2026-27 Year coming soon!
The Early Childhood Music School (ECMS) registrations for the 2026-27 academic year is coming soon! Classes begin in September. For more than 35 years, ECMS has been teaching music to children and adults in the greater Williamsburg area. Classes are available for students ages two months through the “young at heart.”
The curriculum is general music education which includes song vocalization, aural listening, poetic speech, verbal and instrumental play, creative movement, and tonal/rhythmic patterns. There is keyboard and guitar instruction for the upper levels. Parents stay for the lessons with their younger children in the 30-45 minute classes, while the older students typically attend 60 minute classes without. They offer concurrent classes for families with several children so the entire family comes to music class at the same time! Classes are located at Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
ECMS instructors are certified by Musikgarten and the International Early Childhood Music and Movement Association (ECMMA). All classes are developmentally appropriate empowering children with the tools to be successful not only musically, but most of all, developmentally, socially, physically, and emotionally. Through this holistic programming children are offered a nurturing environment to grow a deep love and appreciation for music.
