The Scarlet Pimpernel follows the daring exploits of Sir Percy Blakeney, an English aristocrat who, by day, plays the part of a fashionable fop, but by night leads a band of men to rescue innocents from the guillotine during the French Revolution.
As he navigates a double life, Percy must also grapple with his strained marriage to Marguerite and evade the relentless pursuit of Chauvelin, a cunning French agent. The story is a blend of romance, intrigue, comedy, and high adventure set to a soaring musical score.
