Jennifer Egan is an award-winning author and journalist whose work has captivated readers around the world. Her 2017 novel, Manhattan Beach, became a New York Times bestseller, earned the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, and was selected as New York City’s One Book One New York community read.
Her earlier novel, A Visit from the Goon Squad, won the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and was named one of the best books of the decade by Time and Entertainment Weekly.
In addition to her novels, Egan is a respected journalist who frequently writes for The New York Times Magazine and recently served as President of PEN America. Her latest novel, The Candy House, is a companion story to A Visit from the Goon Squad, continuing the world and characters readers love.
