Yorktown Sounds of Summer at the Riverwalk

Every Thursday in June from 6:30-9 p.m. – Summer in Yorktown wouldn’t be summer without the sound of live music and dancing feet on the Riverwalk Landing every Thursday night. This annual outdoor concert series is free and open to the public and runs through August. The lineup features BrassWind on June 4, Wonderland on June 11, En’Novation on June 18 and The Main Event Band on June 25. More information

Saturdays, June 6, 20 & 27 from 8 am to noon – Yorktown Market Days Farmers Market runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. It is a one-stop shop for seasonal produce; farm meats and seafood; fresh poultry and eggs; artisan bread and made-from-scratch desserts; honey, jams, and sauces; flowers, plants, and herbs; coffee, tea, fresh-pressed juices, and wine; unique local art; and even gourmet dog treats! Action at Wilson’s Warf – Civil War Reenactment at Fort Pocahontas

June 6 & 7 – Set along the scenic James River between Richmond and Williamsburg, Fort Pocahontas
preserves the site of a pivotal May 24, 1864 engagement, when United States Colored
Troops successfully defended the fort they had constructed against an attack by Confederate cavalry under Fitzhugh Lee. History comes alive at Fort Pocahontas with an action-packed Civil War reenactment. Visitors can experience the sights and sounds of the past with dramatic portrayals by cavalry, artillery, infantry, and civilian reenactors. One of the most anticipated maritime events of the decade is heading to the Yorktown waterfront! From Friday, June 12 – Sunday, June 14, Historic Yorktown will transform into an official SailVirginia℠ 2026 Affiliate Harbor for the Sail Yorktown Festival. 6th annual FURever Homes 8k, 5k, and Pet Run

Saturday, June 13 from 7 – 11 am at Jamestown High School. The annual FURever Homes 8k, 5k, and Pet Run supports local homeless pets in need. This event is for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels. There will be vendors, music, food, family fun, raffles and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit Heritage Humane Society. More info


Busch Gardens Summer Concert Series featuring Skillet

Saturday, June 13 at 7 pm – The Concert Series is included with park admission, seating is on a first come, first served basis. A hard rock powerhouse with Grammy nominations, a Billboard Music Award, and the 5x-platinum hit “Monster.” They are among the most streamed rock band. More info

Sunday, June 14 from 9 am – 5 pm at American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.  Enjoy performances that celebrate both the 18th-century connections to Juneteenth as well as the legacies that echo through to today. More info

Juneteenth Meals in Colonial Williamsburg

The Groaning Board at Shields Tavern on Thursday, June 18 – Saturday, June 20 from 11 am – 2 pm. The Groaning Board is served family-style for everyone to share and features seasonal and local ingredients. This event will share the story of Nathan “Nearest” Green, the first known African American master distiller. Saturday, June 27 from 10 am – 3 pm – Family Day: Civically Yours allows families to delve into a variety of interactive programs. Puzzle your way out of a civics-themed escape room and meet organizations that help people in the community. Outdoors, in our immersive living-history areas, learn how civics impacted people during the American Revolution through fun demonstrations.
